Deaf Hub offers support to ensure equal access in education, employment and training for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deafblind people in Northamptonshire.
Deaf Hub provides specialist workshops internally and externally from other organisations aimed specifically for deaf people. These workshops support with all aspects of the job market from job searching, application forms through to interview skills and presentation workshops.
Deaf Hub works with employers to create awareness to break down the barriers faced by the Deaf community.
Access to Work (ATW)
Access To Work is managed by The Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) which pays for support to help those who need it do their job equally. If you have a disability, health or mental health condition, you may be eligible. ATW will pay for things like:
- Specialist equipment.
- Travel when you can’t use public transport.
- Interpreter support in the work place.
- A support worker to help you in your workplace.
- Disability awareness training for your manager and work colleagues.
